Account Manager
PURPOSE:
Supports the activities of the organization by working with customer accounts in defined territories to achieve sales goals and to coordinate operations, as required, with the company's engineers and field representatives.
DUTIES:
• Supports strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
• Prepares periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of potential business expansion.
• Directs sales forecasting activities for defined territory and sets performance goals accordingly.
• Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
• Travels as required through the territory to meet customers and grow relationships.
• Supports sales representative organizations where utilized by establishing sales targets, quotas, and goals.
• Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
• Meets with key clients to grow and maintain relationships and to negotiate and close deals.
• Completes other tasks as assigned by the VP of Business Development.
• Analyzes and controls expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
• Maintains and supervises customer service staff by establishing expectations, coaching, counseling, and training employees as well as planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Travels as necessary to customer locations to solicit orders or talk with customers.
• Completes other tasks as assigned by the VP of Business Development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Business and 5+ years related industry experience
• Experience with the functions of scheduling, demand management and forecasting in a magnetics manufacturing environment essential
• Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, problem solving and strong computer skills required
• Ability to travel will be required
