High Voltage Applications

High voltage magnetics provide patient isolation, security for pet owners, accuracy in test equipment and helps to start the hearts of those in cardiac arrest. HiRel Systems takes these challenges very seriously and provides reliable transformers to perform these duties.

Vacuum Equipment:
HiRel Systems utilizes vacuum equipment that efficiently impregnates even the most challenging transformers. With the use of this equipment, we are able to develop as much as 10,000 volts in a transformer measuring 0.125 cubic inches.

Automatic Soldering Equipment:
The precision obtained by using automated soldering allow for consistent solder terminations and the reliability necessary for this type of application.

Winding Control:
To accomplish reliability within high voltage magnetic components, precise magnet wire lay is paramount. HiRel Systems controls this wire lay by using computer-driven winding machines.

Test Capabilities:
Designing and manufacturing high voltage magnetics is not complete without an accurate method of measuring them. HiRel Systems can measure the integrity of our high voltage transformers by monitoring the corona discharge under elevated voltage conditions.
