HiRel Systems has been a major part of this by supplying specialty magnetic products for unique applications. For instance, We have also developed a unique Helical Wound Technology (HWT) that efficiently provides high current at high frequencies for power conversion.

Helical Wound Technology (HWT)
Helical Wound magnetic components utilize a circular flat wire winding approach that provides efficient transfer of energy at high current applications. This patented technology can be used in a variety of round center legged core configurations for both inductors and transformers.

Unique Pot Core Configuration:
HiRel Systems designs and builds low profile pot cores, wound with high frequency Litz wire.  A typical application allows the laptop used by UPS (when receiving and signing for each delivery) to transfer information to the UPS truck for real-time accounting of all shipments while simultaneously inductively changing the laptop's battery.

Multiple Toroid Assemblies:
Many of our military and avionics customers call upon HiRel Systems to build specialized magnetic component assemblies.

Large Power Magnetics:
HiRel Systems’ expertise is not limited to high frequency applications. We also design and manufacture 50/60 as well as 400Hz products in single phase, three phase, and multi-phase outputs. These larger magnetics are custom designed to reduce weight and size for optimal performance.
