    Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

    8/1/2004 — Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

    PURPOSE:

    Support manufacturing floor including but not limited to documentation, tooling, quality, and Lean Manufacturing.

    DUTIES:

    • Define and implement processes for manufacturing. This includes, but is not limited to routings, standard work, and manufacturing documents

    • Implement and maintain process controls

    • Identify, implement and define the need for manufacturing tooling and equipment

    • Communicate tooling and equipment requirements to appropriate personnel

    • Plant and line layout

    • Ensures training is accomplished for the front line teams on new processes

    • Monitor and improve efficiencies and productivity

    • Improve plant safety and ergonomics

    • Address quality issues and identify and apply corrective actions and work with necessary designers and other necessary departments

    • Mentor within the department

    • Assist with implementing and/or maintaining Lean Manufacturing principles

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and 3+ years related industry experience in the area of electronics required

    • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, problem solving and strong computer skills essential

    • Ability to travel is required

    • Bilingual capabilities in Chinese, Cantonese or Mandarin highly preferred
